Anhad Naad respects your privacy. The app is designed to provide Nitnem and Gurbani reading features without requiring an account or collecting personal information. Anhad Naad does not collect, sell, rent, or use personal information for advertising or tracking, and it does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Information We Collect
Anhad Naad does not collect, track, sell, or share personal information.
The app does not use:
- User accounts or sign-in
- Advertising or advertising identifiers
- Analytics or tracking services
- Location, contacts, photos, or camera access
- Third-party data-collection SDKs
The app uses the microphone only for the optional voice search feature described below.
Information Stored on Your Device
To provide its features, Anhad Naad stores certain information locally on your device, including:
- Saved items, bookmarks, and Parmaan collections
- Recently viewed content and reading history
- Reading positions
- Display, translation, and reading preferences
- Casting and external-display preferences
Backup files are created or imported only when you choose those actions, and you control where exported files are stored.
This information remains on your device and is not sent to us. It may be included in device backups according to your device and Apple account settings.
You can remove this information by using any available clearing options in the app or by deleting the app.
Apple Watch and External Displays
If you use Anhad Naad with a paired Apple Watch, relevant saved content, reading history, and preferences may be transferred between your devices using Apple’s Watch Connectivity services. This information is used only to provide app functionality and is not sent to us.
When you choose to display Gurbani on a connected screen or television, the selected content and display settings are shown on that connected display. Anhad Naad does not collect this activity.
Feedback and Support
If you choose to contact us or send feedback, your email application may prepare a message containing information you entered, the selected Gurbani line or its location, the app version, and your device’s operating-system version.
Nothing is sent automatically. You can review and edit the message before sending it.
If you send an email, we will receive your email address and the information included in your message. We use this information only to respond to your request, investigate reported issues, and improve the app. We do not sell or use support correspondence for advertising.
Sharing Features
When you choose to copy or share Gurbani content or an app link, that information is shared only through the application or service you select. The privacy practices of the selected service are governed by its own privacy policy.
Voice Search
Voice search uses your device’s microphone only while you are using it. Your voice is processed entirely on your device to find matching Gurbani. It is never recorded, saved, or sent to the developer or anyone else.
Database and Model Downloads
Anhad Naad may contact a public GitHub release endpoint to check for corrected or expanded Gurbani database files, and to download the voice search model when you choose to. Anhad Naad does not send saved content, reading history, preferences, voice data, or other app activity with these requests. As with ordinary internet requests, GitHub may process technical information such as an IP address according to its own privacy practices. The developer does not receive this information from the app.
Third-Party Links
The app may contain links to external resources, such as project credits, font providers, or Gurbani data sources. Opening these links takes you outside Anhad Naad. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party websites or services.
Children’s Privacy
Anhad Naad does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not require accounts and does not collect personal information automatically, people of all ages can use its core reading features privately.
Data Security
Because Anhad Naad does not operate user accounts or store your app activity on our servers, your saved content and preferences remain under the protections provided by your device and operating system.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if the app’s features or privacy practices change. Any revised policy will be published on this page with a new effective date.
